Super cool Japanese grocery store. Lots of grab and go items, lunch counter for hot items, seafood counter, tons of fruits and veggies I've never heard of before, and all sorts of unique-flavored chips, snacks, and sweet treats.

Uwajimaya in Bellevue, Washington, is straight-up lit in the Pacific Northwest. This spot ain't your average grocery joint--it's a whole vibe, ya dig? When you walk in, it's like stepping into a whole new world, with all the sights, sounds, and smells of real Asian culture hittin' you at once. The aisles are stacked with mad choices from all over Asia, from fresh produce to rare snacks and everything in between. And let me tell you, the seafood section? It's straight-up poppin'! But it's not just about the food, nah. Uwajimaya is a whole mood. The energy in there is electric, with peeps from all over the place vibin' and discovering new gems at every turn. Plus, they got a sick food court servin' up some of the tastiest Asian eats in town. I'm talkin' legit ramen, bomb sushi, and bao that'll have your taste buds doin' backflips. And if you're into Japanese culture, they got you covered with a whole section dedicated to manga, anime, and all things kawaii. It's like a slice of Tokyo right here in Bellevue. Oh, and don't even get me started on the DIY potential, fam. We hit up Uwajimaya and found everything we needed to whip up some bomb Poke bowls at home. From fresh fish to all the fixin's, we were set to create our own culinary masterpieces. So, if you're down for an epic food adventure or just wanna soak up some dope Asian vibes, do yourself a solid and hit up Uwajimaya. Trust me, it's the real deal. GET IN MY BELLEH!!

Good selection of snacks and food! I like to get the onigiri and spam masubis here when I want a snack and I'll grab chips from here too. It is slightly overpriced but it's in a great location, clean, and many people come and go. Service is nice. There's multiple self checkout stands which is nice because prior to that there would be some lines so I can get out the door quicker

Finally went here for the first time after 15 years of thinking "I should go there and try it out" Amd yes, I have been missing out. They have a ton of frozen and refrigerated food - meats and veggies. One obvious challenge is that they are not in packaging with English so if you have food allergies, this is probably not the place for you unless you can read the language. The have a ton of high sodium shelf-stable noodle just-add-water food, rice, etc Sooooooo many sauces, etc. that you will not find anywhere else. This is where I got really excited!! Staff was very helpful when I had questions. Do not wait 15 years!

I love Uwajimaya and it seems to just keep getting better. Uwajimaya in Bellevue recently was renovated, so the layout is much more open, spacious and looks a lot more like its Seattle location in Chinatown. The store is also brighter, with more hot food take-out selection AND my most favorite thing here is Waji's, the poke bar!!! I freaking love the poke here. It competes with poke restaurants around town, but is a much better deal. Uwajimaya has many Asian specialty items that I can't find elsewhere and I love the many local goods they sell here, supporting the local restaurants and shops. I don't need to trek to Seattle for my Hood Famous ube cookies anymore because Uwajimaya sells that, as well as the large ube cheesecake I get for guests. Or the broth from Happy Lamb for when I want to make my own soup. They even had one time a local farmer outside the grocer, that was selling their custom floral arrangements and bouquets. The selection is a treasure. And there's always plenty of staff to help you find products and such. One of the gals at the poke counter remembers me every time I visit to get my poke plate and always asks me how my travel plans went or how work is going. It's as if I made a friend! I love it. Uwajimaya is my go-to for Asian products and best deals for takeout. Yes, the poke is my favorite here. But also, my absolute favorite teriyaki is from Uwajimaya's hot deli. The teriyaki here is not slathered in that sweet, teriyaki sauce, which I hate! It's just grilled, tender chicken that's been marinated. I have no complaints. I love shopping here for all my favorites and discovering new products. Support this local Asian grocer!

Here to buy snacks and gifts and it is my fave store to shop when I am visiting the area. It is a big store and you can find so many goodies here: hot food, roast duck, sushi, sashimi, baked goods, Japanese items. I love to visit this store and also the Seattle location. Just wish they had a location in the Bay Area
